1986: I first introduced to the world of home entertainment with a 4.0 system which at the time was considered by many to be top of the line. Curious to know why the need for satellite speakers, I visited the store in which it was purchased and asked why the need. The response: "These are what's in now, new technology. This will help your system sound louder". It was then when I realized that not all of these big home audio stores knew what they were selling. I took it upon myself to research the information by contacting the company that builds such equipment. In 1986 all was done by mail which took weeks for a response but determined to get the right answer, I waited because I wanted to make sure my system accomplished what it was meant to do, and waited for some time until I finally learned the true significance of the satellite speakers: Surround Sound. I shared this information with my family and friends. Helped them build their system and through their satisfaction, word continued to spread that if anyone wanted their home entertainment set up right they should contact me. Hence Rich Home Entertainment Technologies was born.
